The Métis people have a long and storied history—one that is often overlooked or misrepresented in mainstream narratives. Seeking to preserve and share this culture, Anthony Wingham, a Métis born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, founded MetisPrint.ca in 2022. Motivated by a desire to see the Métis people accurately represented, Anthony believed it was essential that the Métis tell their own story, rather than leaving the narrative in the hands of non-Métis historians.

Since our launch, MetisPrint.ca has grown significantly, thanks to a passionate community of supporters. We have expanded our product range to include made-to-order apparel and custom printing services for personal, corporate, and community events—each piece reflecting the depth and vibrancy of the Métis culture. Drawing on family lines like Boyer, La Pierre, Galarneau, Pelletier, Primeau, and Chenaille, Anthony’s heritage and lived experiences guide us in creating designs that honor our roots while resonating with new audiences.
